Joseph D. Whitlow, 47, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Monday, August 30, 2010, in Carter County, Missouri.
Mr. Whitlow, son of Teddy R. Whitlow and Shirley (Roam) Black, was born February 26, 1963, in Doniphan, Missouri. He was employed as a boilermaker. Mr. Whitlow was a member of the Boiler Maker Union and enjoyed fishing and especially loved being with his daughter.
He was married to Zuretta White in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Autumn Skyla Whitlow of the home; one step-son, Tanner Johnson of the home; his father, Teddy R. Whitlow of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; his mother, Shirley (Roam) Black of Ellsinore, Missouri; three sisters, Karen Burgin of Garwood, Missouri, Carol Jean Mills of Grandin, Missouri, and Jamie Shaffer of Ellsinore, Missouri; and four brothers, Kevin Whitlow of Doniphan, Missouri, Dale Monroe Black of St. James, Missouri, Jeffrey Black of Ellsinore, Missouri, and Steven Ray Davis of Aurora, Illinois.
Visitation for Mr. Whitlow will be Thursday evening, September 2, 2010, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday afternoon, September 3, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Mike Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
