Florence (Swan) Sparkman, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, South Campus, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. Sparkman, daughter of Harold Goff and Edith Lorraine (Davidson) Swan, was born December 24, 1939, in Paragould, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed writing.
She was married to Louis Casto "Sparky" Sparkman, Jr. in Hernando, Mississippi, on December 23, 1959. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2006.
Mrs. Sparkman is survived by five children; Robert Sparkman, Kelly Kruize, Alicia Stanley, Laura Heinemann and Eric Sparkman; one sister, Rebecca Dean; and two brothers, Richard Swan and Wayne Swan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Towles Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
