Obituary of Linda Holland

Linda Kay Holland, 61, lifelong resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Holland, daughter of John and Wanda (Jarrett) Reeves, was born July 1, 1949, in Doniphan. She was employed at Southern Bank. Mrs. Holland was a member of Doniphan Jaycees, Women's Civic Club, Junior Fiction Club, Doniphan Sports Booster Club, Emmanuel Baptist Church and the V.F.W. Post #3485 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid photographer and enjoyed genealogy. "Nana", as she was fondly called, especially loved being with her grandchildren. She was married to Bob Holland on October 12, 1968, in Doniphan. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Amy Holland and Jill (Bobby) Baugh, both of Doniphan; four grandchildren, Taylor Robert, Macy Holland, Mia Kaylynn and Harper Laura; her parents, John and Wanda Reeves, of Doniphan; and one sister, Susan Killian of St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning, August 4, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Leon Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt-White Cemetery in Doniphan. A memorial has been set up for the Holland family at Southern Bank in Doniphan. Other memorials may be made to the Doniphan City Library and the American Diabetes Camp Fund.
