Bonnie Rose Chase, 69, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday July 11, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Chase, daughter of the late Nona and Laura (Davidson) Bowman, was born November 9, 1940, in Doniphan. She enjoyed canning, gardening and being with her grandchildren. Also, she liked spending time with her friend, Ed Atkinson. Mrs. Chase had a big heart and a strong compassion for the needs of others.
She was married to Richard P. Chase on May 29, 1964, at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1997.
Surviving are one daughter, Angela Reed, and husband, Johnathan Reed, and one son, Bari P. Chase, both of Doniphan; one step-daughter, Debra Chase Mitchen of Nathlie, Virginia; three brothers, Charles Bowman and Marion Bowman, both of Doniphan, and James Alred of California; and four grandchildren, Madison Chase, Chandler Chase, Lauren Reed and Olivia Reed; and one step-grandson, Brandon Mitchen and one step-granddaughter, Stephanie Mitchen.
Visitation for Mrs. Chase will be Wednesday evening, July 14, 2010, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Thursday morning, July 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Earl officiating. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
