Carol June Benedict, 62, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Saturday June 26, 2010, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Benedict was born March 14, 1948, in Huntington, IN, to the late Edward W. & June (Collins) Robbins. She retired as a schoolteacher in the Christian School System and was also a Nanny. Mrs. Benedict enjoyed her grandchildren and church she was a member of the Current River Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.
On August 30, 1997, she married Gary Benedict in Las Vegas, NV. He survives.
She is survived by daughter; Kimberly Kennedy of Queen Creek, AZ; one Wesley Popp of Doniphan; two step-sons Gary T. Benedict II and K. Joe Benedict both of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Susy Popp, Michelle Popp, Emily Popp, Zachary Benedict, Chandler Benedict, Liza Jane Benedict & Emmy Benedict; her sister Jean Lange of West Point, IA & her brother Larry Robbins of West Point, IA.
Visitation will be Monday evening, June 28, 2010, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Tuesday afternoon, June 29, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Current River Baptist Church with Brother Wes Flaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
