Dale Thomas Bowers, Sr., of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mr. Bowers, son of the late Richard Franklin and Martha (McMahon) Bowers, was born April 26, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a car man for the railroad and enjoyed anything having to do with trains.
He was married to Barbara Jackson and she preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters; Tracy Wilder of Doniphan, Wendy Weekly of Spokane, Washington, and Jana Sasse of Findlay, Ohio; two sons, David Bowers of Benton, Arkansas, and Timothy Bowers of Doniphan; three sisters, Barbara Harvey of Toledo, Betty Billups of Largo, Florida, and Sally Shappard of Shelby, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Thomas Bowers, Jr., and two brothers, James E. Bowers and Richard Bowers.
A private memorial service is planned at Willow Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
