Obituary of Robert Hooker

Robert Reynolds Hooker, 77, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Hooker, son of the late William Robert and Mazie Muriel (Gould) Hooker, was born July 26, 1932, in Sarno, Ontario, Canada. He was a former teacher and Air Force instructor. Mr. Hooker was a member of the Doniphan V.F.W. Post #3485, Trinity Lutheran Church and 15th Constabulary Squadron. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Mr. Hooker enjoyed hunting, reading, watching western movies and doing mechanical work.
On November 17, 1953, he was married to Louise M. Reinig in Bayreuth, Germany. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons; William Robert (Brenda) Hooker of Grandin, Missouri, and Ted Reynolds (Lisa) Hooker of Jackson, Missouri; two daughters, Karen Marilyn (Laren) Christian of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Diana Monica (Geo) Jeffreys of Oroville, California; one sister, Beverly Faris of Santee, California; 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandson.
Mr. Hooker was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two grandchildren, David Christian and Sarah Hooker.
Pallbearers are Jason Horner, Ed Hoffmeister, Aaron Sykes, Jeff Hawkins, Jimmy Kinkaid and Anthony Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Laren Christian and Geo Jeffreys.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, May 18, 2010, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Wednesday morning, May 19, 2010, at the funeral home chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Bloomfield Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
