Reva Juanita Hopkins, 95, of Naylor, Missouri, died Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Hopkins, daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (McKinney) Odom, was born April 26, 1914, in Ripley County, Missouri. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and raising her children. Mrs. Hopkins was of the Baptist faith.
On December 22, 1933, she was married to W.O. Hopkins in Ripley County. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1989.
She is survived by three daughters; Joan Gerrish of Monroe, Washington, Pat Gargac of Naylor and Kay Schmick of Doniphan, Missouri; three sons, Avon Hopkins of Doniphan, Ray Hopkins of Abilene, Texas, and Kevin Hopkins of Naylor; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three children, Peggy Hopkins, Shirley Morrow and Willis Leon Hopkins; one sister, Grace Lassen; two brothers, Willard Odom and Arthur Odom; and two grandsons, Richard Morrow and Barry Gerrish.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 7, 2010, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday morning, April 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Eric Leroux officiating. Burial will follow in the Pratt Cemetery.
