Owen Dale Martin, 79, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Martin, son of the late Claude Welch and Iva I. Glazier, was born June 22, 1930, in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a utility man with General Motors Corporation. Mr. Martin enjoyed breaking down motors, helping children do home repair and playing bingo. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
On May 30, 1986, he was married to Agnes Scott at Ellsinore. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Teresa, Deanna and Katheline; two sons, Jeffery and Mark; and four step-children, Howard, Jimmy, Eugene and Richard; five sisters, Edna Mae, Claire Jane, Elaine, Evelyn and Judy; one brother, Ben; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Allen, and one step-child, Charles.
Visitation will begin at noon, Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Logan Creek Church in Doniphan with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Curtis Crowley will officiate. Burial will be in the Logan Creek Cemetery.
