Obituary of Paul Ollar

Paul Franklin Ollar, 83, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday March 12, 2010, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Ollar was born September 2, 1926, in Bennett, Missouri, to the late Frank and Pearl (Johnson) Ollar. He was self-employed working on the family farm and later in life took care of lawns. Mr. Ollar was a 32nd degree Mason having recently received his 60 year pin, a member of the Eastern Star, active in the Doniphan Nutrition Center where he served on the board, and enjoyed performing with the Gospel Volunteer Singers. Mr. Ollar enjoyed gardening, fishing, & hunting. Survivors include one sister, Elda Earl Miller of Doniphan; one niece, Arlene (Bill) Mabrey of Cape Girardeau; one nephew, Raleigh (Norma) Miller of Doniphan; one great nephew, John (Tasha) Miller of Doniphan; one niece, Pamela (Andy) Anglin of Columbia; eight great-great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and friends. Mr. Ollar was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Velda Pearl Ollar. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday March 14, 2009, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Monday March 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Andy Anglin officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery.
