Obituary of Jr. Kepley

William A. (Bill) Kepley, Jr., 67, lifelong resident of Ripley County, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born December 22, 1942, in Naylor, Missouri, to William A. and Naomi (Hughes) Kepley, Sr. On November 15, 1997, he married Judy Mitchell at Maynard, Arkansas. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Steve (Ginger) Kepley of Doniphan, Kim Kepley (Benny Rigoroso) of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and Holly (Greg) Ford of Paducah, Kentucky; two step-children, Stacey Peoples of Doniphan and Scott (Sherri) Gaither of Maynard, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Lauren Little, Matt, Stephanie and Keaton Kepley, Nick and Rehana Ford, Latecia Peoples, Brianna and Samantha Gaither; one great-grandson, Landon Wilson; one sister, Mary Coonce of California; and a host of many good friends and neighbors. Bill, along with his wife, Judy, was owner of J & B Storage and also was retired from U.S. Bank after 22 years of employment. He was a long-time member and past president of Doniphan Lions Club. Bill served as a volunteer on the board for the Selective Service System and was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation in September, 2009. He enjoyed hunting and four-wheeling and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, two half-brothers and three half-sisters. Visitation will be Saturday evening, February 6, 2010, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Wes Flaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Fairdealing Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Socieity.
