Ellis Kennedy, 74-year-old resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Kennedy was born February 4, 1935, in Hornersville, Missouri, to Anna (Boshell) Kennedy and the late Carl Kennedy.
He was retired having previously worked for Chevrolet in Indiana, and was a member of the Doniphan Christian Church. Mr. Kennedy was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are his mother, Anna Kennedy; two brothers, Sunny Brown and Lloyd Brown of Illinois; one sister, Linda Young of Poplar Bluff; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ruth Lyday of Doniphan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Kennedy. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Brother John Harwell officiating.
