Bart Joseph Griffin, 54, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Saturday, December 19, 2009. Bart died at home in the log cabin he built, on the same spot his four sons were born. Bart was born January 15, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was one of nine children born to Tom and Marie Griffin. Bart grew up with his brothers and sisters in Webster Groves where he made many lifelong friends. Bart moved to the Ozarks in the 1970s and married Sandra Jane Ure in 1979. They had four sons together, Brad, Jonathan, Paul and Mason. The family moved to the St. Louis area in 1989, where Bart remained until returning to Doniphan in 2001. Bart was a master carpenter by trade and enjoyed building and creating. He loved being outdoors in nature and was an avid hiker. Bart spent many hours exploring and simply enjoying the woods.
