Obituary of Steve Phelps

Stephan Craig Phelps, 52, of Grandin, Missouri, died Saturday, October 31, 2009, at his residence in Grandin. Mr. Phelps, son of Elanore (Rapier) Phelps and the late Harold Phelps Sr., was born May 10, 1957, in Kokomo, Indiana. He enjoyed hunting. On April 19, 1975, he married Patsy K. Jones in Grandin, Missouri. She survives. Other survivors include his mother Elanore Phelps of Grandin, two sons, Trinity Allen Griffin and Patrick Craig Phelps both of Grandin; one daughter, Stephane Rena Dobbs of Poplar Bluff; 20 grandchildren, Thomas Garcia, Danielle Garcia, Marissa Garcia, Ray Garcia, Mariah Garcia, Emily Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Amber Griffin, Katlyn Griffin, Troy Griffin, Skylar Dobbs, Payton Dobbs, Presley Dobbs, Whitley Dobbs, Matthew Dobbs, Haven Phelps, Stephan Phelps,and Tristyn Phelps; and step-grandchildren, Cody Cato and Cole Colyott; three great-grandchildren, Devon Garcia, Ricky and Kaliyah Moreno; one sister, Carolyn Gloyd of Doniphan; and six brothers, Keith Phelps, Kevin Phelps, Phillip Phelps, Glenn Phelps and Doug Phelps all of Grandin and Harold Phelps Jr. of Briar. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Phelps Sr.; one daughter, Lynn Sue Griffin; one son Benjamin "Wayne" Griffin; one sister, Glenda Phelps; and one brother, Joe Phelps. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday November 2, 2009, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the funeral home chapel with Brother William McDowell officiating. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery.
