Hobert W. Harp, 73, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mr. Harp, son of the late Walter and Pearl (Thompson) Harp, was born January 12, 1936, in Campbell, Missouri. He was an excavator and cropduster as well as a self-employed contractor. Mr. Harp was a Sunday School Teacher and deacon at Sugartree Church at Poyner, Missouri. He enjoyed flying. On October 29, 1955, he was married to Willa Fulford at Sikeston, Missouri, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons; Charles Harp of Hickory, Kentucky, Carl Harp of Doniphan and Danny Harp of Advance, Missouri; three daughters, Athena Moore and Suzanne Schultz, both of Paducah, Kentucky, and Pam Allen of Reyno, Arkansas; one brother, Birdell Harp of Guntown, Mississippi; and fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tony Harp, one sister, Goldie Thompson, and one brother, Donald Harp. Visitation for Mr. Harp will be Sunday evening, October 25, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Monday afternoon, October 26, 2009, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Poyner Cemetery.
