Artie Omega Robinson, 89-year-old resident of Doniphan, Missouri, passed from this life Sunday, June 5, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Robinson was born October 1, 1921, in the Plunk Community in Ripley County, Missouri. She was a housewife who enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, crocheting, bible reading, fishing, and especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. On February 27, 1941, in Doniphan she was married to Charles Robinson, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Jess and Lizzie Day Griffin, two sisters, Verna Agin and Stella Rush; and four brothers, Elza, Ezra, Check, and Orbra Griffin. Surviving is one daughter, Charlotte James and her husband Sam of Doniphan; one son, Doug Robinson of Doniphan; three grandchildren, Joshua James and his wife April; Jessica Hunt and her husband Kasey, and Jillian Klepzig and her husband Aaron; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby and Mallory Sorrell, Brooklynn and Paysley Klepzig, and Brody Hunt. Funeral services for Mrs. Robinson are going to be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Sanders officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday with burial in the Doniphan Cemetery.
