Clyde Evans Goad, Jr., 84, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mr. Goad, son of the late Clyde Evans and Kate (Ashley) Goad, Sr., was born November 13, 1924, in Earl, Arkansas. He was a truck loader. Mr. Goad served with the U. S. Marines during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was married in 1963 to Edna Goad and she preceded him in death in 1965.
He is survived by two sisters, Bernice Piwowarczyk of Doniphan and Joan Stevens of Salt Lake City, Utah, and one niece, Beverly Shepherd.
Mr. Goad was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Ruth Kerley and one brother, Roy Goad.
Graveside services will be October 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, with Brother Jason Jordan officiating.
