Bobby Lee Bennett, 78, of Doniphan died Friday, October 2, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Bennett was born February 24 1931 in Puxico. To the late Ed & Delia (Waller) Bennett. He attended the Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Bennett was an over the road truck driver and electrician. On January 13, 1975, he married Magalene Burkhart in Puxico. She survives Survivors include four sons, Marvin Bennett of Chaffee, Rob Watkins of Scott City, Wesley Bennett of Oregon, & Kerry Bennett of Advance; three daughters Rena Hefner and Lee Ann Stanfill both of Advance & Patsy Luckey of Old Appleton; one sister Marilyn Brock of Kocahokia, IL & one brother John Bennett of Springfield, 19 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents one sister Shirley McLean, one brother Bill Bennett, and three grandchildren. The Graveside service will be Monday 2 pm October 5, 2009 at the Doniphan City Cemetery with Eddie Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Doniphan City Cemetery.
