Obituary of Tennie Wainscott

Tennie Ruth Wainscott, 63, of Gatewood, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Missouri. Mrs. Wainscott, daughter of the late Henry and Nora (Linn) Brown, was born January 8, 1946, in Gatewood. She had worked at the Doniphan Nutrition Center and was a member of New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Harry Wainscott on January 30, 1965, at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Gatewood. He preceded her in death in October, 2003. She is survived by two children, Nick Wainscott of Belleville, Illinois, and Stacey Webber of Malden, Missouri; one brother, Gale Brown of Gatewood; two sisters, Patricia Devlin of Barnhart, Missouri, and Joyce Deck of Gatewood; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Wainscott was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gilbert Eugene Wainscott, and one sister, Eiline Babbs. Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jared Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Johnston Chapel Cemetery.
