I did not hear this sad news until the day of the funeral. I shared it with my Dad and we sent a card. Since then, I have learned that the funeral home has this site. I wanted to express my sympathy to Lester's entire family. Once upon a time, we knew each other well. I remember all the fish frys, fun times on the river and at his home. Lester was a special human being and I feel blessed to have known him. My Dad, Lanson Phillips, was a good friend of his and he also wants to convey his deepest sympathy. Dad was quite distressed to hear the news of Lester's passing. Please know that we both care and are holding you in our thoughts. Lester will never be forgotten. -Susan Phillips and Lanson Phillips

We are truly saddened to hear about Mr Wright's passing. We had the privilege of seeing him at our mother, Thelma McManus', visitation just this past Tuesday; we so appreciated his kindness to our family. Our father, Orville, retired from the Army in 1960 and returned with Thelma and our brother, Paul, to Doniphan. He often told the story of Mr Wright's hiring him to work in Vitronic, an event he considered a favor, because it helped our family so much. Our family is greatful for all Mr Wright did for our father and mother over the years. We share your loss and hold you in our prayers. May God bless your family in this difficult time.

Leslen and family, I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He and your Mother were always very nice to me and treated me as if I were a part of the family. I will always remember the wonderful times I had with your family at Marlboro, the farm, when I was growing up. He was a wonderful role model and an asset to the Ripley County community. May God bless each of you at this time. I know he will always be in your heart. Kristy
