Loy Eugene "Jiggs" Knapp, 80-year-old resident of Grandin, died August 27, 2009 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Knapp was born December 19, 1928 in Prim, AR to the Ralph & Fay (Sloan) Knapp. Mr. Knapp was retired having previously worked as a Technical Writer for Motorola, and was an alderman for the city of Grandin. Mr. Knapp was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Surviving are two brothers, Oliver & Frances Knapp of Erwin TN and Wallace Knapp of Grandin, several nieces and nephews and a host of Friends and Relatives. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knapp was also preceded in death by one sister, Winnie Fee and four brothers Bill Lewellen, R.B., Fred and Claud Knapp. Visitation will be Sunday August 30, 2009 from 11AM till 1 PM there will be graveside services Sunday August 30 at 2 PM at Grandin City Cemetery with Bro. Luther Abbott Officiating.
