Wilburn Otto Catlett, 70, of Naylor, Missouri, formerly of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 20, 2009, at the John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mr. Catlett, son of the late James Henry and Ava (Boman) Catlett, was born June 7, 1939, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He retired as an airport transportation chauffeur and enjoyed fishing and crafts, especially dreamcatchers. Mr. Catlett was a U. S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Simmons of Olympia, Washington, and Melissa Catlett of Vandalia, Missouri; one sister, Nadine Oliver Godwin of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Brandi Catlett and Winter Simmons, both of Olympia, Washington, and Krysta Catlett and Emily Catlett, both of Vandalia, Missouri; one great-grandchild, Alex Catlett of Olympia, Washington; and a special friend, Tina Jackson of Naylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers. Visitation for Mr. Catlett will be Tuesday morning, August 25, 2009, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating.
