Rose Wheeler, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.
Mrs. Wheeler was born February 20, 1939, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She was a housewife and was very active in the Toys for Tots project, V.F.W and American Legion. Rose played Santa Claus at the Current River State School for 25 years and attended His Place Church.
On January 9, 1986, she was married to William Wheeler in Jackson County, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2006.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by one son, James L. Clifton of Great Falls, Montana; one daughter, Tina L. Creamer of Vancleave, Mississippi; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Brother Ben Jordan officiating.
