William Orvil Brooks, 70, of Arnold, Missouri died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Brooks was born June 25, 1939 to Orvil and Dorotha (Swafford) Brooks. He was retired from the steel manufacturing business and enjoyed his family, friends, and motorcycles.
On March 20, 1961, he married Dorothy Gargac in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives.
Survivors also include one son, Ronald and Sharon Brooks, of Eminence, Missouri; two daughters, Connie Brooks of Branson, Missouri and Sherry and Sam Hackworth of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Miranda Lathim, Chestly Lathim, Ashley Albers-Milstead, Matt Lathim, Sam Hackworth, Daniel Hackworth and Willie Hackworth. Five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Xavier, Dalton, Jaden, and Hunter . Also, surviving are one brother, Darold Brooks of Grandin, Missouri three sisters, Susan Hanks and Karen Nance of Grandin, Missouri and Doyce Hanks of Doniphan, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery.
