Obituary of Elsie Anspach

Elsie I. Anspach, 86, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mrs. Anspach, daughter of the late John and Dilia (Buckner) Hart, was born September 9, 1922, in Winona, Missouri. She was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. In 1937 she was married to Carl Edgar "Ed" Barton in Reyno, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in May, 1953. She later married Moses Anspach and he, too, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Fred Barton of Doniphan and Arnold Loyd Barton of Porterfield, Wisconsin; two sisters, Opal Payne of Doniphan and Lee Hurst of Corning, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anspach was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one daughter, Bonnie Nichols, four brothers, Roy Hart, John Hart, Ray Hart and Jackie Hart and one sister, Betty Ferre. Visitation will be Saturday evening, July 25, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Johnston Cemetery in Reyno, Arkansas.
