Clara A. Ormsby

Clara A. Ormsby, 94, of Bridgeton, MO died Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Mark Twain Manor Nursing Home in Bridgeton, MO. Mrs. Ormsby was born June 18, 1911 in Ripley County. She was a former resident of Ripley County and a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Florissant, MO. On August 1, 1927, in Doniphan, MO, she was married to Floyd Ormsby, who preceded her in death October 1, 1961. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Nathan and Effie Timmons; one son, Clifford Ormsby; three brothers, Cecil, James and Johnny Timmons; three sisters, Viola Cope, Algia Lucas, and Dorothy Stiber; one grandson, Dennis Ormsby; one great-granddaughter, Cainah Ormsby; one daughter-in-law, Frances Ormsby; and one son-in-law, Larry Davis. Surviving Mrs. Ormsby are three sons, Verle Ormsby and wife Juanita of Republic, MO; Floyd Ormsby, Jr. of Florissant, MO; and Harold Ormsby and wife Barb of Warrenton, MO; one daughter, Glenda Davis of Hazelwood, MO; two sisters, Bonnie Adams of Doniphan; and Jean Bingham of Poplar Bluff, MO. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
