Leroy Charles Brower, 73, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday July 4, 2009, at his residence in Poplar Bluff. . Mr. Brower was born January 20, 1936 in Gladewater, TX. to Archie & Ruby (French) Brower. He worked as a smoke stack builder, he enjoyed watching the L.A. Lakers basketball, tennis, golf, & playing poker. Mr. Brower was a veteran of the U.S. Navy He married to Karen Brower who preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Steven Brower of Poplar Bluff and Joseph & (Teresa) Brower of Doniphan; three daughters Lucinda & (Charles) McGonigal of Doniphan, Rhonda &(Lonnie) Barton of Park Hill, Christina & (Ron) Brower of Ellisnore; mother Ruby Williams of Poplar Bluff; two brothers Virgil Brower of Doniphan and Richard Brower of Grandin; two sisters Nona Snead and Rita Holland both of Doniphan; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Archie Brower & step father Martin Williams. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM. Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday July 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandin Cemetery, with military honors.
