Gerald Joe Casteel, 67, of Doniphan died Sunday July 5, 2009, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. . Mr. Casteel was born December 19, 1941 in Tuckerman, AR. to the late Frank O. & Opal (Richards) Casteel. He worked in the automobile industry, he was a member of Ripley County Saddle Club and Naylor American Legion.. On May 29, 2004 he married to Ruth Gallion Casteel who survives. Survivors include one step-son Leonard Gallion of Plano TX step-daughter Terri Lynn Gallion of Onyx, CA and daughter Tammy Casteel of Sullivan MO. Two brothers D.B. Casteel of Cabot AR, John Casteel of Newport AR and one sister Cynthia Casteel of Cabot, AR; three granddaughters Keisha Casteel of Sullivan, MO, Kyra Gallion and Andrea Gallion of Plano TX; one grandson Dustin Casteel of Sullivan, MO; several nieces and nephews, his dog wahya and his horses Robin and Baby. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers O'Neal Casteel and Richard McKinley "Mack Casteel". Visitation will be from 9 AM. Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery.
