Wilma Mae Elliott, 82, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Elliott, daughter of the late W. H. and Ila (Newbill) Fuller, was born January 9, 1927, in Kennett, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting and being with her children and grandchildren and was a charter member of the Faith Seventh Day Baptist Church. On April 11, 1943, she was married to James Ralph Elliott in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1999. Mrs. Elliott is survived by four children; Sharon Oldham of Sullivan, Missouri, James Elliott of Pacific, Missouri, and Ruby Stratton and Mark Elliott, both of Doniphan; one sister, Lurlene Dearing of Mountain Home, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Carl Elliott and Joseph Elliott, one grandchild, Carla (Stratton) Portwood, and two brothers, Algie Fuller and Lilvy Fuller. Visitation for Mrs. Elliott will be Friday evening, June 26, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Bud Beecher officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
