Grace Mae Lassen, 89, a former resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at her residence in St. Charles, Missouri.
Mrs. Lassen, daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (McKinney) Odom, was born December 18, 1919, in Ripley County, Missouri. A housewife, she enjoyed gardening and being with her family.
On April 5, 1947, she was married to Alva Lassen in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1986.
Mrs. Lassen is survived by one son, Ray (and Kay) Lassen of Doniphan; three daughters, Brenda (and Steve) Werkmeister of Creve Coeur, Missouri, and Veta (and Greg) McIver and Wilma Davis, both of St. Charles, Missouri; one sister, Reva Hopkins of Doniphan; nine grandchildren, Brittany Bradrick, Richard (Scott) Bradrick, Ryan Werkmeister, Christopher (Chris) Werkmeister, Tammy Renee' Davis, Richard (Rick) Davis, Chad McIver, Kim McIver and Tasha Lassen.
Mrs. Lassen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Arthur Odom and Willard Odom, and one daughter, Rita Lassen.
Visitation will be Saturday evening, June 6, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
