Obituary of Steven Gambling

Steven Dewayne Gambling, 37, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Gambling was born March 7, 1972, in Kennett, Missouri. A life-long resident of Ripley County, he was an over the road truck driver and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Gambling enjoyed mud trucks, fishing and being with his family.
On September 27, 2003, he was married to Lindsay Vivian in Doniphan. She survives.
Also surviving are four children; Kaila Matthews, Lydia Vivian, Dylan Gambling and Blayn Gambling, all of the home; his parents, Bob and Diane (Sorenson) Gambling of Doniphan; one sister, Macheal (and Patrick) Neel of Doniphan; one brother, Kenny (and Tanesha) Gambling of Doniphan; paternal grandmother, Christine Gambling of Doniphan; and one niece, Taylor Gambling, and one nephew, Kayden Gambling, both of Doniphan.
Mr. Gambling was preceded in death by one child, Bryce Gambling, his paternal grandfather, Artie Emmett Gambling, and maternal grandparents, Lawerance Sorenson and Eileen Willett.
Visitation for Mr. Gambling will be Friday evening, April 17, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Saturday morning, April 18, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
