June Louise Freeman, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Freeman, daughter of the late Elvas and Mary Violet (Woods) Sneathern, was born December 27, 1930, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading and being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith. On September 20, 1948, she was married to Leonard E. Freeman in St. Louis, Missouri. He survives. Also surviving are eight children; Timothy Wayne Freeman, Leonard Eugene Freeman, Jr., and Janet, Robin Joy Freeman and Dennis, Rosemary Cochran and Roger, and Billy Jo Koonce and John, all of Poplar Bluff, Janet Louise Maddox and Gaylon of Williamsville, Missouri, Patricia Ann Mayfield and Larry of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Elvis Edgar Freeman of Mercer, Missouri; one very special cousin, Wayne Edgar Holden; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Thomas Lee Freeman, and two sisters, Rose Marie Tanner and Elaine Ward. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, April 14, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Kerns Chapel in Stringtown with Timothy Wayne Freeman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Freeman's Cemetery
