Earnestine Davidson Walters of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away March 28, 2009, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mrs. Walters was born March 22, 1934, in Corning, Arkansas. She enjoyed camping, gardening, going to yard sales and especially being a mother. Mrs. Walters was a member of the West Point Pentecostal Church. She was married to Willie Walters on January 8, 1949, at Peach Orchard, Arkansas, and he survives. Others survivors are children; Dennis Walters and wife, Linda, of Myrtle, Missouri, Darrell Walters and wife, Barbra, of West Plains, Missouri, Marsha Croy and husband, Ronnie, of Doniphan, Judy Merrett and husband, Calvin, of Doniphan, Gina Bennett and husband, Donald, of Milburn, Kentucky, Donnie Walters of Doniphan, Tony Walters and wife, Susan, of Oxly, Missouri, David Walters of Doniphan, Glen Walters of Doniphan, Kim Reed and husband, Edward, of Doniphan, Benje Walters of Doniphan and Jody Walters and fiancée, Dawn, of Doniphan; two sisters, Maxine Louis and husband, Paul, of Rockford, Illinois, and Imagene Czarnikow of Rockford, Illinois; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Carolyn (Harpole) Davidson, one daughter, Carolyn Lee, one sister, Pearlie Putman, two brothers, Gerald Davidson and Huey Davidson, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Walters will be Tuesday evening, March 31, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan with Brother Charles Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Walters Cemetery.
