William Bazel Kelso Mr. William Bazel "Bill" Kelso, 79, lifelong resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mr. Kelso was born October 8, 1929, in Kingdom Hall, Tennessee, to the late James A. and Sara (Cobb) Kelso. He was retired from the Roy Mathis Sawmill after 40 years of employment and was a member of the Briar Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Kelso is survived by two sons; Jimmy Kelso of Palestine, Texas, and James W. Kelso of Briar; two daughters, Pattiann Terry and Vanessa Wells, both of Piedmont; two sisters, Myrtle Butram of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Ida Long of Seattle, Washington; one brother, John Kelso of Harcow, Illinois; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Vesta Carter, and three brothers, Joe Kelso, Harley Kelso and Earl Kelso. Visitation for Mr. Kelso will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
