Calvin David Bliss, 21, lifelong resident of Grandin, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Bliss was born September 5, 1987, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was employed as a tree trimmer with Townsend Tree Service. Mr. Bliss enjoyed being with friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his parents; Milton Harold Bliss, Sr. and Patricia Ione (Swigert) Bliss of Grandin; one sister, Sheila Bliss of Grandin; three brothers, Milton Harold Bliss, Jr. and wife, Renee, of Corning, Arkansas, Gary Andrew Bliss and wife, Beth, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Gregory Thomas Bliss of Grandin; and nieces and nephews, Briana Bliss, Michael Bliss, Alexis Bliss, Chelsea Keeney, Emily Keeney, Samuel Bliss, Mary Elizabeth Bliss and Maegan Bliss.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Orville Bliss.
Visitation for Mr. Bliss will be Thursday evening, February 26, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2009, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandin City Cemetery.
