Genevieve Lafferty, 89, of Crystal River, Florida, died Thursday, February 19, 2009, in Lecanto, Florida.
Born April 29, 1919, in Naylor, Missouri, she moved to Florida from Fairdealing, Missouri. She was a retired seamstress and a member of the Lecanto Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lafferty is survived by her son, Billy G. Lafferty and his wife, Georgia, of Beverly Hills, Florida; one brother Cliff Huson of Missouri; one sister, Wilma Ward of Missouri; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur M. Lafferty, and one daughter, Johnnie Crites.
Visitation for Mrs. Lafferty will be Sunday evening, February 22, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Monday morning, February 23, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Gum Cemetery.
