Margaret Adeline Tillman, 80, of Springville, Alabama, formerly of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. Mrs. Tillman was a member of Central Baptist Church in Argo, Alabama, and a former longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doniphan. She was a baker and was known for her homemade coconut and pumpkin pies and yeast rolls. She enjoyed traveling to Alaska to visit family. Her hobbies included baking cookies, quilting, and playing games such as bingo, dominos, and working puzzles with the grandchildren. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. Mrs. Tillman is survived by her daughter, Mary Weinreich and son-in-law, Jacob (Jake), of Trussville, Alabama, son George Tillman and daughter-in-law, Anna, of Anchorage, Alaska, son, Cecil Tillman and daughter-in-law, Kim, of Springville, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, Charles (Chuck) Tillman, Caryn Tillman and Richard Tillman of Anchorage, Alaska, Patrick Weinreich and Vicky Weinreich of Trafford, Alabama, Thomas Jacob (TJ) Weinreich of Trussville, Alabama, John Griffin and Lori Fisher of Leeds, Alabama, and Brad Tillman and Kacie Tillman of Springville, Alabama; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ivan and Michael and Cooper Tillman of Anchorage, Alaska, and Courtney and Zachary Griffin of Leeds, Alabama; two brothers, Abe McKnight of Doniphan and John McKnight of Murray, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Tillman was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Tillman; one daughter, Margaret Turner; her parents, Ted and Ellen McKnight; and three brothers, J. L. (Vern) McKnight, Jack McKnight and Jim McKnight. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will begin at noon Saturday. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor Dewey Corder of Central Baptist Church, Argo, Alabama, officiating.
