Bobby "Bear" Tipton, 69, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Tipton was born January 5, 1940, in Grandin, Missouri. He was retired from the U. S. Forest Service. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Survivors include two brothers, Dennis Tipton of Doniphan and Junior Tipton of Grandin; one sister, Mabel Boyer of St. Louis; and eleven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Letch F. and Lillian (Byrd) Tipton; one sister, Juanita Knapp; and three brothers, O'Dell Tipton, Harold Ray Tipton and Dale Tipton.
Visitation for Mr. Tipton will be Wednesday evening, February 18, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Tim Tipton officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery.
