Shirley Jean Morrow, 71, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Ms. Morrow was born December 1, 1937, in Ripley County, Missouri. She had been an employee of Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan and was a member of the First Church of God.

She is survived by one son, Albert Morrow of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Valerie A. Morrow of Piggott, Arkansas, and Carla Jean Morrow of Doniphan; her mother, Reva (Odom) Hopkins of Doniphan; three sisters, Pat Gargac of Neelyville, Missouri, Kay Schmick of Doniphan and Joan Garish of Washington state; two brothers, Avon Hopkins of Doniphan and Ray Hopkins of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ms. Morrow was preceded in death by one son, Richard Wayne Morrow, and her father, Willard Otis Hopkins.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening, February 11, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday morning, February 12, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Earl officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
