Loetta Imolene Baker, 85, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Baker, daughter of William E. and Birtha Mae Holt, was born June 13, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a housewife and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. On September 24, 1945, she was married to Marvin Baker in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2005. Surviving are four children; Larry Baker and Robert Baker, both of St. Louis, Missouri, John Baker of Jackson, Missouri, and Marlene Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau; and twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two sisters, Juanita Berens and Gene Whittenberg, and one brother, William E. Holt. Visitation will be Sunday evening, May 15, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Monday afternoon, May 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Don Estess officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnston Chapel Cemetery.
