Laurel (Bud) W. Anderson, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Saturday, August 30, 2014, at his residence in rural Doniphan.
Mr. Anderson, son of the late Hans and Edna (Brockman) Anderson, was born April 27, 1925, in Fairmont, Minnesota. He had been a welder. Mr. Anderson was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and had been stationed in Japan with the Occupational Forces.
On June 12, 1948, he was married to Yvonne Werner in Welcome, Minnesota, and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2002.
Surviving are one daughter, Dawn Gage of Doniphan; and four sons, Daryle Anderson, Arizona, Richard Anderson, Alabama, DeLon Anderson, Minnesota and David Anderson of Doniphan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a caring and loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, September 6, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.
