Wanda Evelee Jones, 81, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2014, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Jones, daughter of Charlie Lee and Elsie Evelee (Waggoner) Griffin, was born July 2, 1933, in Middlebrook, Arkansas. She had retired from Vitronic Manufacturing in Doniphan. Mrs. Jones enjoyed walking, going to yard sales and working in her garden and flowers. She was of the Baptist faith.
On June 9, 1951, she was married to Jack Jones at Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1992.
Surviving are three sons: Jackie (Brenda) Jones and Jim Jones, both of Doniphan and Dennis (Agnes) Jones of Columbia, Missouri; one daughter, Mary (Dwight) Stokes of Shilo, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Sue Murphy and one brother, Wayne Griffin.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday, August 1, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
