Edna Louise Masterson Riley, 91, lifelong resident of New Madrid, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Riley, daughter of the late Otto Masterson and Carrie Masterson Shaver, was born April 26, 1923, in New Madrid. She was a homemaker and member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid.
She was married to A. C. "Dub" Riley in January of 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.
Surviving are two children, Sarah Elizabeth (David C.) Riley Mann of Sikeston, Missouri, and Virginia Louise (R. D.) Riley James of New Madrid; grandchildren Mary Elizabeth (Reade) Mann Ferguson of Sikeston and Albert Chilion Riley James of New Madrid; and two great-grandchildren William David Ferguson and Lillian Elizabeth Ferguson, both of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one granddaughter, Virginia Elizabeth James; two sisters, Nadine Masterson and Sarah Masterson and two brothers, Ott Russell Masterson and Boyd Masterson.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m Friday morning, May 23, 2014, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Father Jarek Skrzypek will officiate. Entombment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
