Ellan Genoria Mitchell, 74, of Dittmer, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Mitchell, daughter of Gardner and Delma (Dixon) Pender, was born September 6, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She had worked in customer service at Burger King Restaurant. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Lingo Church and enjoyed flowers and watching birds, especially purple martins.
On February 4, 1951, she was married to Harold Mitchell and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Regina (and Charles) Cole of Dittmer; one sister-in-law, Sharon Pender of Gatewood, Missouri; three grandchildren, Devon Cole, Jessica Cole and Charles Cole, Sr.; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Lang, Austin Cole, Sierra Kotzur, Charles Cole, Jr. and Grace Lynn Cole; and two nephews, David (and Darla) Pender and Clint Pender, both of Gatewood.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, April 24, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Friday morning, April 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the New Home Cemetery.
