Leonard A. Baugh, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, died at 11:08 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014. Mr. Baugh, son of Geneva & Loy Baugh, was born January 3, 1940, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A meat cutter by trade, he managed the meat department at what is present day Harps, for almost 40 years. Never fully retiring, he continued to work part time until the day of his death. Founded in 1988, he owned and operated Leonard's Trophies until passing it on in 2010 to Bobby, his youngest son. Leonard also enjoyed gardening, propegating roses, spending time with his grandchildren, and taking care of his dog, Lukie. On November 18, 1961, he married Laura M. Payne in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death. Also preceding Leonard in death were his mother and father, Geneva and Loy Baugh of Poplar Bluff, and two brothers, David Baugh of Poplar Bluff, and Noel Baugh of Villa Ridge, MO. Surviving are four sons: Steve Baugh and his wife, Regina, of Ozark, Missouri; Jimmy Baugh and his wife, Sharon, John Baugh, Bobby Baugh and his wife, Jill, all of Doniphan; five grandchildren, Shaina Marie, Ryan Allen, Macy Holland, Mia Kaylynn and Harper Laura; and one brother, Loy Baugh Jr, and his wife, Amelia. Services will be held Tuesday, January 28, at Edwards Funeral Home, in Doniphan. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00, the funeral will be immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the OFRA Leonard Baugh Memorial. Proceeds will be used to help children in crisis within the community.
