Obituary of Raymond Stallsworth

Raymond Leroy Stallsworth, 72, of Gatewood, Missouri, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at his residence in rural Ripley County. Mr. Stallsworth, son of Lyle Edward and Esther (Johnson) Stallsworth, was born October 3, 1941, in Denver, Colorado. He had been employed with the state of Colorado. Mr. Stallsworth enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting and was of the Baptist faith. On February 19, 1972, he was married to Sarah Allen in Denver and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Deborah Bray and her husband Billy and Carl Stallsworth and his wife Sherry, both of Westminister, Colorado; three brothers, Bill Stallsworth and wife Margaret of Rawlings, Wyoming, Dan Stallsworth and wife Sally of Rosemont, Minnesota, and Stephen Stallsworth and wife Ruthie of Gatewood; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roy Stallsworth, and one sister, Dorothy Baudoin. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, January 23, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Friday afternoon, January 24, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private family burial will be held.
