Edward James Curtis Bridges, 52, of Couch, Missouri, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at his residence in rural Oregon County.
Mr. Bridges, son of Norman and Ruby (Rutledge) Bridges, was born November 4, 1961, in West Plains, Missouri. He had been employed with Missouri Forge in the maintenance department. Mr. Bridges enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on the Eleven Point River and he especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
On June 26, 1982, he was married to Cindy Ayers at the Ponder Church of Christ and she survives.
Also surviving are two children, Kearby Bridges of Kimberling City, Missouri, and Emily Bridges of West Plains, Missouri; and two sisters, Carol Doles and Brenda Kay Johnson, and one brother, Keith Bridges, all of Myrtle, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl Bridges and Charles Bridges.
Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Paragould Children's Home.
