Obituary of Caidan Basinger

Caidan Gage Basinger, 3, of Grandin, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at his residence after a year-long battle with cancer. Little Caidan, son of Derek and Ashley (Kellerman) Basinger, was born December 12, 2010, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. After his original diagnosis of cancer, St. Jude's Children's Hospital became like a second home where, not only was his family blessed by them but he was also a blessing to St. Jude's as well. He loved to play, especially with his John Deere tractors and truck-pull trucks. Little Caidan always had a smile on his face and he enjoyed playing with his dog, Squeeker. Surviving are his parents, Derek and Ashley; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Carlene Wilson of Doniphan, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Garth and Kim Kellerman of Doniphan; paternal great-granddparents, Bruce Wilson of Doniphan and Kaye (and Vance) Parkin of Doniphan; maternal great-grandmother, Lorraine Kellerman of Doniphan; and aunts and uncles, Bryce (and Kaitlyn) Wilson, Kyle Kellerman and Collin Kellerman, all of Doniphan, Heather (and Mark) Valesano of Alton, Illinois, and Mike (and Jerri) Edgett of Colcord, Oklahoma. A private family service will be held at a later date.
