Harriett Ruth Hoefer, 72, of Doniphan died Saturday December 7th at her residence in Doniphan.
Mrs. Hoefer daughter of the late Elza & Edith (Jackson) McConney was born November 21, 1941 in Kirkland, IL and was a lifelong resident of Ripley County, where she retired from Vitronic after 32 years. She enjoyed crocheting, feeding the birds and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Fairview General Baptist Church.
On January 1, 1966, she was married to Weldon Hoefer in Doniphan. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Surviving are two daughters Elsie (Douglas) Black of Humble, TX and Susie (Jim) Foster of Doniphan; two sons Weldon E. "Pete" Hoefer of Fairdealing and Harry Hoefer of Doniphan; five grandchildren Amanda Hardin, Samantha Foster, Sara Hoefer, Breck Hoefer, & Matthew Hoefer; and five great-grandchildren Logan Hardin, Makayla Foster, Madison Hardin, Kaitlyn Head, & Hannah Sharrion.
Mrs. Hoefer was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Christine Hoefer, three brothers Robert Jackson, Wilbur Jackson and Everett Brown.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 PM Tuesday December 10th at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral service will be Tuesday December 10th at 2 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home with Bro. Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in Doniphan City Cemetery in Doniphan.
