Ronald Ray Hampton, 61, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at his residence in rural Doniphan.
Mr. Hampton, son of Cecil and Nettie (Bowers) Hampton, Sr., was born July 3, 1952, in Dunklin County, Missouri. He had been a self-employed sawmiller. Mr. Hampton enjoyed flea-marketing, fishing, working with his hands and playing the guitar and singing.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheila K. Gurney of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Amy May Hampton of Chandler, Texas; two brothers, Cecil Hampton of Doniphan, Missouri, and Earl Hampton of Advance, Missouri; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Wednesday evening, October 30, 2013, starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
